YES, I went to see Lana Del Rey last night and IT WAS AMAZING.
For those who know me they know I have the biggest obsession/crush on Lana, she is basically the definition of perfection in my honest opinion. And I'd like to clarify that she looks just as amazing in person.
As Lana Del Rey is one of my style icons, some of my style is definitely inspired by her (especially my hair colour). I'd say her style is based around the 60's era, so I decided that I might aswell get my 60's shift dress out and give it a wear.
Because of my body shape, straight shaped/ Shift dresses don't flatter me at all, so I added this Topshop belt to give it a waist. This vintage dress was discovered in a shop in Camden a few years ago, I will admit as much as I love this dress I just don't wear it enough.
This shirt under has beautiful white embroidery on the top half of the sleeves and the chest of the shirt, its hard to see but when you notice it, it's not like any white shirt. It was found in a random second hand shop in Devon.
Trust me, as scummy as some second hand shops can look, if you rummage enough, you may find something amazing. Personally, I think the fun of vintage shopping is the fact that you have to RUMMAGE and look through EVERYTHING, so if your an impatient shopper then try it out, you might enjoy it!
